Weddings For Us began with a simple belief: every couple deserves a beautiful wedding experience, regardless of budget, guest count, or tradition.

Originally founded in Santa Barbara in 2005 by Alma Rose, Weddings For Two was created to offer intimate, romantic wedding experiences that were both meaningful and affordable. With more than 20 years of prior experience in the wedding industry, Alma understood that many couples wanted something different from a large traditional wedding. They wanted a celebration focused on their love, free from unnecessary stress and expense.

That vision became especially important during the 2008 recession, when many couples were forced to rethink their wedding plans. Weddings For Two provided an alternative—beautiful ceremonies that honored the significance of the day without requiring a large budget. At a time when many businesses struggled, the company became a lifeline not only for couples, but for Alma and her family as well.

In 2018, that story took an unexpected and meaningful turn.

When Frankie Chon traveled to Santa Barbara to elope, she became one of Alma's couples. During the planning process, the two quickly connected. Alma shared her hopes of gradually stepping back from the coordination side of the business to focus on photography and eventually pass the company on to someone who shared her passion.

Over the following months, Alma mentored Frankie, sharing the knowledge, experience, and lessons she had gathered throughout decades in the wedding industry. Frankie fell in love with the heart behind the business: creating beautiful, romantic, and stress-free wedding experiences that felt accessible to everyone.

Later that year, Frankie purchased Weddings For Two, and Alma continued to remain part of the team as one of the company's talented photographers.

The years that followed reinforced just how meaningful intimate weddings could be. During the uncertainty and restrictions brought on by COVID-19, elopements and small weddings once again became a source of hope for couples who simply wanted to celebrate their commitment to one another. Just as the company had done during the recession years earlier, it helped couples focus on what mattered most: their love and their marriage.

Today, that original mission continues through Weddings For Us.

After years of building relationships with talented photographers, officiants, florists, and wedding professionals, Frankie expanded the company beyond its Santa Barbara roots to serve couples in multiple destinations. While the name has evolved, the heart of the business remains the same.

We believe weddings should be beautiful, romantic, personal, and stress-free. We believe meaningful celebrations shouldn't be limited by budget, expectations, or tradition. Most of all, we believe every couple deserves a wedding experience that feels true to them.
